Q; At one point Geordi announces "Bogey coming in on a five-o-clock tangent". Say wha?
A; Weeeeeel, this is perhaps not the most typical observation for a Starfleet officer, but slang creeps in everywhere. I didn't hear anyone complaining, so I think we can assume that they all knew what he meant.
Q; Why doesn't the Entity attack when Lore is beamed out and the shields drop?
A; I think we might assume that it was getting its act together to do just that when the shields went up again. Shucks! It seems the Entity can't act quite as fast as Lore thinks it can. Don't forget, it's been quite some time since Lore last saw the Entity, and it may well have changed in subtle ways. Perhaps it is slowing down in its old age, and would rather be sitting on the front porch with its pipe and slippers, working out the banjo bits from Deliverance. Both of them . . . (yeah, yeah, banjo and guitar but you get my point).
Q; Why does Lore have one haircut when his head is separate and another when he's been assembled?
A; We might assume that Lore's hair changed because while they were assembling him they gave him a standard Starfleet haircut. And why not?
A word further about verbal contractions. As a rule, Data apparently can't use them. However, at the end, he says "I'm fine" and twitches à la Lore. Hmmmm.
Interesting to see that Wesley strolls cheerfully into Data's quarters without bleeping or in anyway asking permission. This reminds me of the way his mother did the same thing with Picard a couple of shows ago. Perhaps this is a Crusher family trait . . .
